Update 0.32.01: Menus! Options!

This update features lots of changes to make Isometric Park feel like, well, an actual game—things like setting the resolution or make the game run in full screen. Also, I finally have an actual start screen, instead of dumping you straight into a simulation. The current start screen is very basic, although it does at least feature an era-appropriate shade of teal (leading to this joke mockup).

I also tweaked the appearance of the in-game UI. Before:

After:

You can also change the font to an alternate sans-serif font, Roboto. Here's what that looks like:

The hope is by having multiple fonts, users can pick one that's easy for them to read. You can also resize text.

While adding these features was interesting and it feels good to have them done, if only partially, I'm glad to get back to the gameplay. I plan to overhaul dialog next. My plan is to have quite a bit of dialog for this genre of game, taking particular inspiration from the way groups of citizens can approach you in SimCity 3000 and Frostpunk to ask you to take specific actions and the advisors in the Civilization games.
